Laminates, etc.
High gloss or Linen-Finish film
1.5 mil, 3 mil, 5 mil, and 10 mil / one side or both.
Sizes up to 28" x 40".
Edge Seal or Flush Trim.
Permaseal's high-speed laminating features a variety
of films, including "lay-Flat" nylon film that won't curl.
If scoring is required, always score before
laminating for the best results.
To reduce cost (and achieve a better product),
print on heavier weight paper and use lower mil (thinner) laminate... plastic
costs more than paper.
Light weight paper, such as 20# bond, does
not laminate as well as 60# offset of equal price. Using the 60# offset
will produce a superior end result.
Always send extras to facilitate set-up and
guard against delays. On average, 10% overage is adequate on a 250 pieces
order, and 5% overage on larger jobs (or 40-50 sheets max).
Lamination Film comes in standard widths ...
9", 12", 18", 25", and 36". Try to size your printed
piece to be 3/4" less in width than the laminate width. . . . A REAL
MONEY SAVER!!! This allows for Sealed Edge or Flush-trim Edge finishing.
Edge Seal pieces must be supplied one-up and
pre-trimmed to finish size... BEFORE laminating.
Flush Trim laminated pieces should be printed
oversize, one or more up, and then cut to actual finish size after lamination
for best results.
Printing powder can adversely affect lamination
and should be kept to a minimum.
